Tax export and CPA handoff

Use /tax-export inside the client tenant to generate preparer files. The one-click tax packet is a ZIP. Individual live downloads currently include:

  • Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and 1099 Summary as PDF or CSV.
  • General Ledger as CSV or XLSX.
  • 1099-K bridge as PDF or CSV.
  • Chart of Accounts as CSV.

The screen labels an IIF export for QuickBooks Desktop, but its action is disabled and reports that IIF is not wired. JSON is not a user-facing export format.

The current Tax Line Mapping tab is a browser-local worksheet and does not write account overrides. The Working Trial Balance displays adjustment totals, but the page does not provide controls to create or post tax-packet adjustments. Use the regular journal-entry approval workflow for book changes.

The page advertises 17 package files, while the committed exporter currently writes 13 files to the ZIP. Standard trial-balance files, PDF versions of profit and loss and balance sheet, and the chart-of-accounts CSV are shown in the preview but are not added to the server-generated archive. Verify the downloaded ZIP before handoff.

Several preparation aids, handoff history, estimated taxes, and export history use browser storage or preview values. Secure-link tax-packet delivery is not wired, so the packet downloads locally.

The packet supports external tax preparation. It does not prepare or file the income-tax return.
