Glossary

Access level - The billing state full, read_only, or locked used by shared request gates.

AI COO - The tenant-aware agent experience backed by InBlack’s MCP tool catalog.

AI COO scope - The tier value accounting, full, or unlimited used as one MCP visibility gate.

AuditCore - The tenant-scoped append-only event log with canonical grammars, principal chains, causal/correlation IDs, idempotency, and hash-chain fields.

Custom field - A tenant-declared value stored on a substrate-extensible record and validated against the active entity schema.

Dimensional substrate - The shared schema and generic record-access contract for extensible pillar entities.

Entitlement - A product:module:action authorization key. Billing pillar inclusion is a separate gate.

Formula field - A computed custom field declared with a CEL expression. Formula fields cannot be written directly.

Glowstack - The fictional business used by InBlack examples, local seed scripts, and fixture-agent scenarios.

MCP - Model Context Protocol, used by agents to discover and call the InBlack tool catalog.

Membership - A user’s tenant relationship and role. A user can have memberships in more than one tenant.

Pending action - A persisted proposal awaiting the applicable review or approval path.

Pillar - A product domain such as Accounting, Commerce, Studio, Customer 360, Reporting, Portal, or Data X.

Principal chain - The ordered principals represented by an AuditCore event producer.

Practice - A tenant on the Practice tier that can maintain active or archived links to client organizations.

Simulate tool - A generated MCP companion that previews its paired catalog write without committing it.

Tenant - The organization scope used by authorization, row-level security, billing, and product data.
