Accountant handoff
The Accountant Handoff tab currently offers a local packet-and-email flow and a separate tenant invitation.
Prepare an email
Enter the accountant’s email, optional name, and message, then select Send Tax Packet. The current implementation generates and downloads the tax packet locally and opens a mailto: draft. It does not upload the packet or create a secure download link. Copy Secure Link is disabled for this reason.
Attach or transfer the downloaded packet using your firm’s approved secure method. Do not assume the draft email contains the files.
Invite an accountant
Enter an email in Invite Accountant to InBlack and send the invitation. The page calls Portal’s membership invitation with the ACCOUNTANT role for the active tenant. Actual access is determined by the role and current entitlement checks; review those permissions before inviting an external preparer.
The current MCP catalog does not expose a tax-packet handoff tool.
