Departments
The Departments route at /dimensions/departments is currently a UI preview. It renders a fixed MOCK_DEPARTMENTS hierarchy; it does not query, create, update, or archive tenant department records.
You can explore search, archived filtering, hierarchy expansion, the department picker, and the create/edit drawer. Selecting Create or Save Changes only closes the drawer. It does not update even the in-memory list, and a reload restores the same example data.
Do not enter production department data on this page. The current Accounting GraphQL schema and MCP catalog do not publish department catalog-management operations.
For live reporting structure, use supported account and journal-entry dimensions only where the relevant editor is backed by a persisted API contract.
