Invoices

The Invoices tab manages customer invoices from draft through collection, payment, write-off, or void.

Create and send

Select New Invoice, choose a customer, set issue and due dates, and add description, quantity, and unit-price lines. After creation, open the invoice and use Send to enter recipient and message details supported by the send dialog.

The list can be searched and filtered by invoice status. It also summarizes overdue, due-soon, awaiting-payment, partially paid, and outstanding amounts and offers AI chat prompts for collection planning.

Payments and exceptions

  • Record Payment accepts an amount, payment date, and manual, bank-transfer, or Stripe payment-link method.
  • Void is available only for eligible unpaid invoices.
  • Write Off requires a reason and records the supported bad-debt treatment.
  • Reinstate restores an eligible written-off invoice through a separate confirmation.

Review the invoice balance and payment history before any exception action. Posted accounting effects are handled by the service and should be corrected through supported reversal or reinstatement paths, not by editing ledger data directly.

The MCP catalog contains current invoice operations, but several historical payment and write-off names are no longer valid. Use the generated Accounting MCP reference for exact names and tiers.
