Orders lifecycle
The Orders page tracks orders across channels and applies explicit status transitions.
Supported transitions
- Pending to Processing or Cancelled.
- Processing to Shipped or Cancelled.
- Shipped to Delivered.
- Cancelled to Processing.
- Delivered and Returned have no next status in this page.
Open an order to review customer and address data, line items, totals, estimated profit, fulfillments, and available transitions. Cancellation and uncancellation change operational state; verify external channel behavior before using them.
For processing orders with a shipping address, Shop Rates sends the address and a default one-pound package to fulfillment rate shopping. Selecting a rate purchases a label and returns tracking information. Confirm package weight and address suitability because the current request uses that fixed package value.
The current MCP catalog does not expose the historical order-status tool name. Use the generated Commerce reference for supported order operations.
