Chart of accounts
The Chart of Accounts page manages the active tenant’s ledger hierarchy and account-level tax labels.
Review accounts
The table shows code, name, parent, subtype, type, effective tax label, and active or archived status. Search filters the loaded list. The AI COA Signals panel summarizes posting and summary accounts, archived accounts, hierarchy signals, and tax-label coverage; its buttons open Ask AI with a prepared prompt.
Manage accounts
Users with account-management permission can:
- create a ledger account;
- edit supported account fields;
- archive or restore a non-system account;
- set or clear a tax-line override.
Delete is visible but disabled in the current page. System accounts cannot be archived. Account type and hierarchy choices affect reporting and posting, so review them before saving.
The current MCP catalog supports account operations under the generated names in the Accounting MCP reference; it does not include the older unarchive_account or select_rule_package names.
